A Small Piece of Advice

If you have a security system, you set before you leave the house or before you go to sleep at night, protection is your goal. You want to protect your belongings or protect your life. Security systems are smart devices, but they take activation or nothing will be protected.

The Bible says, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23). The word “keep” is a security term. It means to guard, protect, or watch. Keeping our hearts protects us from allowing the devil to steal our hearts away. Some people have let their “guard” down. People do not watch (pay attention to) what they are doing, nor listen to what they are saying. Unless God’s security system for our lives is in place and activated, we will never be protected from the shame, sorrow, and regret of sin. How good are you at guarding what goes in and out of your heart?
