Crowd Control

Crowd control is a major concern at any event where thousands of people will assemble. For the person or those whom the crowd gathers to see, it is especially exciting. Those who perform are often entranced by the interest others have in their ability.

Many religious leaders in Jesus’ day loved the approval of the crowd. It affected them so much they pretended to have the truth while at the same time rejecting the Savior. They would parade around in self-righteousness and refused to believe in Jesus - never giving Him a fair hearing. Such conduct paved the way for their eternal condemnation. Jesus said, “How can ye believe, who receive glory one of another, and the glory that cometh from the only God ye seek not?” (John 5:44).

How much does a crowd, your family, friends, and coworkers, influence you and your response to Jesus? Are you so interested in their approval that you reject the only One who can save you?
